Continue?9876543210 is an artsy, philosophical, action game for IOS devices, MAC, PC, & LINUX. Continue? was inspired by existential road trips into nowhere, Peruvian jungle drugs, and a brush with death while lost in the mountains of New Mexico. It is a quest for wonder, contemplation, and peace.

As a game, it’s unpolished, but as a rumination on mortality, it’s an interactive poem.

If you jump into Continue expecting The Legend of Zelda or Minecraft, it might completely annoy you. But if you don’t mind playing a very different sort of game, then this is one worth looking into. Continue?9876543210 is strangely compelling, and I want to experience more games like it.

Continue?9876543210 is arty game that actually attempts to challenge us, yet their short, repetitive, ritualistic nature can interrupt the themes that make this a unique and interesting game. Perhaps the most paradoxical aspect of Continue? is that for a game so committed to abstraction and ambiguity, it itself is what it appears to be.

I have never fully understood the narrative or the mechanics of the experience, but I liked its trippy vibe and the weird, weird spaces it allowed me to explore as I was searching for lightning and shelter.

Ultimately, it seems a bit unfair to give Continue? a score—it’s a game that can mean everything or nothing depending greatly on your worldly interpretation. Where games like Gone Home and Papers Please have a clear fundamental message tugging on your principles, Continue? is either answering life’s questions or presenting some you weren’t considering before—apparently while “late at night with a glass of wine or some weed.”
