Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator provides a calming experience for garden enthusiasts. Thanks to Stillalive Studios and Nacon, aspiring gardeners now have a new comfort game to enjoy. While performing tasks can be rather tedious there’s much more that the game can offer both visually and creatively. This game was reviewed based on Xbox One review code, using an Xbox Series S|X console.

Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator was as advertised; a cozy gardening game, but I found the tasks quite repetitive and wished there was more variety of things to do. I am hopeful that the developers will add some additional content, possibly some more flower varieties as well. More than anything else, I hope they fix the messy inventory system. Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator is like a seedling in a greenhouse. It has all the parts to make something beautiful and is just waiting for the right gardener to come along and spend some time with it.

In a way, Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator feels like a small flower that’s been given the best soil, the biggest pot and plenty of love, but it’s too tiny and too dainty to make use of that space. It’s a bedding plant that needs more around it to really flourish. As it stands, it feels lonely. We’re planning to come back to Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator in a few months.

Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator is just that: cozy. There’s little reason to strive for perfection in a game that merely wants players to dabble in its goal of building whatever kind of idyllic flower patch desired. This kind of directionless aura may be a turn off for those seeking a different kind of simulator but what’s on offer is hard not to enjoy.

Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator offers a visually enchanting experience with its beautiful and highly stylized graphics, evoking a storybook charm that seamlessly blends reality with whimsy. The game provides players with a ton of freedom and the relaxing fantasy of cultivating a community garden. However, some bugs, optimization problems, and developer oversights underscore the need for additional polish. With a little work, the game has the potential to blossom into something truly special. Try Hard Guides was provided with a PC review copy of this game.
