At any rate, the game is an ironic, satiric, comical masterpiece, and it’s apparent that the developers have invested a lot of time and resources into this project to have it function seriously from a technical standpoint. What is bad about Goat Simulator 3? I’ve tried to be as critical as I could regarding Goat Simulator 3 but I couldn’t find any big issues with it so far. One “problem” that I see is the (current) lack of cross-play, which disallows me to test out multiplayer content with someone who has a copy on PlayStation 5, for example.

Coffee Stain Studios has not only made an incredibly fun sequel, but also one of the most enjoyable games of the year. In a landscape dominated by third-person action-adventure titles and first-person shooters, it’s refreshing that Goat Simulator 3’s one goal is to be fun.

Goat Simulator 3 isn’t perfect, feeling rough and ready as you play. But this is what Goat Simulator has always been. With my cynical head on, it does feel a bit artificial this time, like the team of developers have tried to introduce bugs and glitches. It just feels like the game is trying to be quirky and zany all the time, rather than the bugs being organic.

Goat Simulator 3 raises the baaa-r on every level (I can’t help myself, I’ve been playing it for too long and the goat puns have taken over). Everything is bigger and better. A larger open world, more customisation, more to unlock and do, we’ve finally got online multiplayer with fun minigames, and there’s just more overall general goaty goodness. Though you might encounter the odd glitch or two, it doesn’t detract from the gameplay, and you’ll brush it off as easily as your ragdoll goat getting back to its feet after crash-landing from the top of a never-ending beanstalk. Even if you’ve never been tempted by it before, I can’t emphasise enough how strangely satisfying it is to unleash hell in goat form on an unsuspecting city. Score 4/5.

To the shock of none, Goat Simulator 3 is this year’s most chaotic game. The real surprise is that, beneath Goat Sim‘s daft facade, there are some brilliant gags that manage to go beyond being throwaway Easter eggs. However, nothing in the game lands quite as well in single-player – meaning you should knock a star off if you plan to play this on your lonesome.

If you have access to a Steam Deck, especially an OLED model, Goat Simulator 3 is an easy recommendation. With how good it is here, I don’t need the Xbox or mobile versions anymore, and will be dipping into the game often to play on Steam Deck. Goat Simulator 3 on Steam Deck is not only my favorite portable version, but my favorite version of the game in general. It has a few issues like prior entries in the series, but is still worth your time regardless of if you are a fan of the series or a newcomer. Goat Simulator 3 Steam Deck Review Score: 4/5 Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising 2B DLC Impressions With fighting games getting DLC so often, I usually don’t bother covering individual characters unless of course the character in question is important to me.
