House of Golf 2 is a gorgeous entry into the mini-golf genre. Featuring some a vast array of creative stages to get through, only let down by a lack of online multiplayer and little in the way of variety. 3.6 On par I have a bit of a soft spot for arcadey miniature golf games.

The single player side of things is fantastic, at least short term, and if only there was online multiplayer play included, House of Golf 2 could well have been found pushing Golf With Your Friends for a place on game session rotation.

There’s a bit of a learning curve with House of Golf 2 which takes away some of the ‘pick up and play’ elements of other titles in the genre, but there’s some good course design and it’s fun to find the shortcuts hidden around them. There’s nothing here that will challenge the golf titans in gaming, but there’s plenty to discover if you’re willing to give it the time. House of Golf 2 is available now on PS5 (review platform), Xbox Series X|S and PC. House of Golf 2 then, is a mighty fine way to play Crazy Golf. It looks lush, it plays smoothly and it gives you a chance to feel like a golfing god. The dopamine rush soon ends after about 8-10 hours, unless you’ve got loads of mates to play with, but you’ll likely thrash them unless you’re drunk. I had a good time and I’ll play again if new courses are added, but after that handful of hours, I’d had my fill. Pros: Gorgeous visuals, the rush of trick shots, plenty of multiplayer options Advert Cons: Lack of variety outside of the golf balls, loses its charm after a while, limited in replayability For fans of: Golf With Friends, Any PGA golf game, real life Crazy Golf 6/10: Good House of Golf 2 is available now on PlayStation 5 (version tested), Xbox Series S|X and PC.
