Overview

N++ is a fast-paced, action-packed platformer set in the distant future. You play as a ninja, darting through obstacles, narrowly evading a slew of inadvertently homicidal enemy robots and collecting gold in a minimalist, sci-fi world. N++ is all about smooth physics, deftly controlling the speed and inertia of the character, and the awesome feeling of fluidly moving through each level.

Everything considered, N++ is an absolute gem. Anyone who wants a platformer should buy this game. It might be preferable for some to have it on PC, but that’s really up to consumer preference and this is one of those games that you can pick up, play for a few levels, and begrudgingly put down again as you go about your day.

N++ just feels right. You will never enjoy dying in a game as much as you will here, and will feel such a great sense of accomplishment with each room that you clear.

It's possible that the 'N' in 'N++' stands for niche, but within that niche, the game easily bests almost everything a fan could ask for. For me, the co-op test with a next-gen kiddo beat expectations in a way that only winning gameplay can muster. The newest, and best version of a game whose subtitle could be 'Poetry in Motion and Killer bots' is a triumph on the PS4. Only users who absolutely hate everything about platformers should think hard before giving 'N++' a deep look, while everyone else should partake and celebrate the final form of this landmark series.
