Sparks flare around the man all five sisters wish to claim. Introducing the new vertical scrolling shooter game! The first new game in 12 years from Alfa System, the team that brought you.the Shoot 'Em Up "Castle of Shikigami III" in the "Castle of Shikigami" series. Five uniquely talented sisters are squabbling over which of them will marry the angel Yashin. Enjoy the heroic(?) strategies of all five! The Tension Bonus System (TBS) means your score and number of coins multiplies based on your distance from enemies and their attacks, and the Powershot System changes normal attacks into strong attacks, further ramping up the tension! Plus, once the TBS has multiplied by two within a certain time, Secret Fairies will be hidden somewhere in stages for you to find. Master these systems and set new high scores!

At the end of the day I feel like Sisters Royale: Five Sisters Under Fire is well worth your coin. It’s a fun and customizable Shmup that anyone can pick and play and that vets will be able to challenge themselves with as well. The story is pretty insane at times, but I had a blast with it. The music is really good and there were no technical problems here that I could find. If you’ve ever had a passing interest in this genre, do yourself a favor and pick up this gem.

Not the best game, but I am putting out a solid recommend to anyone who is a fan of the top-down shooter drama, or those who just generally enjoy this style of game.

A fun little bullet hell that has a ton of replay value and a charming visual appeal. Quite an approachable entry for those daunted by other shoot ‘em ups with a scoring system that rewards skill.

Side effects of playing Sisters Royale include not being able to close your eyes without seeing clouds of neon projectiles flying everywhere but when you're a shmup fan, that's a good thing. In the end, I'm glad to see Alfa System back doing what they do best.Sisters Royale: Five Sisters Under Fire gameplay video → Super Mega Space Blaster Special Turbo Review Xbox One ★★★★☆ Some indies don't look very refined but once you actually play them for yourself, you might be pleasantly surprised. Yes, Super Mega Space Blaster Special Turbo looks like some sort of flash game but believe me, it's a lot of fun.

Sisters Royale is a fun and amusing bullet hell title that offers up some solid arcade action, but little else. The specific anime styling will either draw you in or put you off (you know what I mean), but the light-hearted tale will likely win over even the most prudish players. Some online leader boards or alternate modes wouldn’t have gone amiss, but even so I still think Sisters Royale is worth a look if you’re into, or curious about, the bullet hell genre. This game was reviewed based on Xbox One review code, using an Xbox One console.

Sisters Royale is a colorful, tongue-in-cheek take on the classic shmup format. On the upside, you get to play through the game as five different player characters. The down side is it doesn’t take very long to play through, so the replay value is in trying to beat your last score and to run through the levels on harder settings.

Although Alfa System has dabbled in the genre before with the likes of the Shikigami no Shiro franchise, this is definitely not a stand out new entry for the shooter genre, but it’s not like there is much choice out there at present either. It’s definitely a decent effort and one that casual players could enjoy, but fans of the genre will not find it as challenging.
