Manage your escape from an onslaught of walkers in this cross-over between the time management escape game The Escapists and the blockbuster zombie franchise The Walking Dead. Using the retro graphical style of The Escapists, the game gives you control of Rick Grimes as he tries to secure the safety of a number of familiar characters by seeking out a safe escape route from each area, fending off the zombie hordes and keeping as many of them alive as possible as they escape. The game will faithfully keep to the timeline of the comics, so as you progress you'll move through a series of familiar locations.

A great tie-in and a solid game in its own right, The Escapists: The Walking Dead is an enjoyable and surprisingly deep head-scratcher.

A more forgiving spin on the prison-break theme of The Escapists, The Escapists: The Walking Dead removes some of the high stress from the original and gives the player more room to breathe and enjoy what was great about it. * The product in this article was sent to us by the developer/company. One of my earliest memories is playing Duck Hunt on the NES with my older cousin.

A great introduction to either series and well worth the asking price.

Absurdly uncommon bugs aside, The Escapists: The Walking Dead is a very fun little game. While I hesitate to say the $20CAD price tag is worth it for everyone, fans of TWD will certainly find plenty to appreciate in the game’s renditions of key locales.
