The Night of the Rabbit, regardless of what it’s called and the few other minor complaints I had, is a triumph. It’s Daedalic once and for all proving that they are indeed capable of producing an adventure that can stand tall with the classics of the genre. It’s charming, lovable, challenging but rarely unfair, and expertly nudges you in the right direction most of the time while still making sure you’re the one who solves all the puzzles.

If you long for the days of your youth spent exploring the countryside with only a stick for company or your teenage years spent cooped up inside playing classics like ToonStruck, Day of the Tentacle, and Broken Sword, then look no further than The Night of the Rabbit.

All in all, Night of the Rabbit was an extremely enjoyable game, one certainly that most adventure game enthusiasts will have a fun time with.

Although their intentions may have been to reach a wider audience, Daedalic has created a children's game, and there's nothing wrong with that. Most children's games are far too innocent and insultingly dull — commercial characters giving teacherly instructions for inane tasks involving 1-2-3 and A-B-C — but The Night of the Rabbit teaches curiosity, the benefits of exploration, environmentalism, and the importance of stories: all virtuous lessons. Jerry also learns that magic is not just the stuff of fantasy, but an ever-present force that is extraordinary only in how common and pervasive it is.

The Night of the Rabbit is certainly one of Daedelic's better games. The gameplay is faithful to the point-and-click adventure genre blueprint, but only with a few obtuse puzzles. The presentation isn't perfect, but it's rather beautiful and boasts some great visuals and set pieces.
