Visuals are just as refined and gorgeous as previous versions of the series, with new and subtle differences added to give the game increased flare and a more appealing look to the eye. The presentation remains virtually the same, with some changed overlays and scoreboard screens.

Despite the knocks against rivals mode and the fact that the new controls are mostly borrowed from what many consider to be a more simple golf franchise, Tiger Woods 06 is still a solid game. Where rivals fails, the more realistic PGA Tour mode is still fun, as is skills 18, a set of target-based minigames. And of course, playing online and off against friends is still great, since under all the dross Tiger still features a very solid engine. In a vacuum, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 is deep and flexible enough to earn a high rating.
