Yet Another Zombie Defense HD
Build your base by day. Defend it by night. Stay alive as long as you can. Yet Another Zombie Defense HD is an unusual mix of dual-stick zombie shooter and tower defense genres. The player is free to choose from nine unique weapons and mount them onto auto turrets or set up defensive barricades to stay alive as long as he can. There are also power-ups to collect, different zombie types to shoot at and cooperative mode.

Yet Another Zombie Defense HD is a great addition to the Switch and for people who are looking for a break from their xth rounds of Mario Kart or Smash Brothers. With several game modes and study controls, there’s enough going on with the ever increasing difficulty to keep you and your team going for a while!

I’d give this the thumbs up. It is not expensive and is guaranteed to be a fun get in get out game. If you do want next gen graphics etc, this may not be the title for you, but from a strategy perspective it offers a fun challenge that gets you thinking.

There isn’t much that Yet Another Zombie Defense HD does wrong, but there is a fair amount that feels left out. That being said, the amount of content and engaging gameplay you get for the small price tag makes this barebones experience worth a play. If you’re dying to get your hands on a solid zombie defence game on your Switch, this one won’t hurt your wallet or your eyes.

With this game originally releasing on February 3, 2010, you can see that the years haven't been kind. With less content than a Chinese fortune cookie, and less entertaining as well, I'd personally save the $4.99 and spend it on something else, unless you just have to try the game, but you've been warned. O

There is no doubt that Yet Another Zombie Defense HD is more crisp and graphically pleasing than the first, but where the game could have had more distinct zombies, different backgrounds, and more customization, it stayed with the same ole’ boring. For four bucks you can have a decent time with the game, just don’t expect it to be a regular pull on game night. * The product in this article was sent to us by the developer/company. Yet Another Zombie Defense HD is a bog-standard game that doesn’t particularly do much to stand out. Sure, there’s support for both local and online play across three game modes in total, but its lack of innovation and depth does little to elevate the experience above its peers. In fairness, the game is fun in short bursts and comes with a decent gameplay foundation. Just don’t expect to be blown away. This game was tested and reviewed on Xbox One.

YAZDHD isn’t an expensive game, so I am not too fussed about the value prospect. It may not look pretty, but it handles well and if it wasn’t for the online bugs and the lack of player base, I would probably recommend this more. But if you regularly have friends over, then this wouldn’t be the worst way to spend some time.
