With over 100 levels to battle through, plenty of loot to collect, numerous bosses to take down and even some prisoners to rescue, Barbearian will keep even the most seasoned of adventurers very busy and highly entertained for quite some time. Besides, who doesn’t like hacking at sword-wielding skeletons?

Barbearian might be one of the more pleasant surprises of the year. Underneath the hack-and-slash simplicity in sending troops flying with a swing of your axe is robust strategizing and improvising on the fly when your best laid plans crumble. The mystery inherent in its story coupled with the bright and neat visual style adds an additional dimension to the experience. I can wholeheartedly recommend you add this to your Switch catalog.

Through its intuitive and fun-filled gameplay, Barbearian offers an excellent action-packed campaign that's surprisingly huge and varied.Barbearian gameplay video → NoReload Heroes Enhanced Edition Review Switch ★★★☆☆ NoReload Heroes launched a few years back for Switch and we now have a brand new Enhanced Edition so let's get ready to shoot. Although I haven't played the original NoReload Heroes, I must say that I had a decent time with it via this Enhanced Edition.

At the end of the day, Barbearian isn’t too hard to figure out. It’s a slightly above-average, bite-size hack-and-slash game with a charm that feels incredibly Flash-esque. It’s not on my list of top contenders or anything, but it’s not something that I’d steer people clear of, either. If you’re looking for something fun, fast, mindless, and relatively inexpensive, there are definitely way worse things that you could play than Barbearian.
