DOOM 3
Based on the BFG Edition, this release features enhanced graphics, better audio with more horror effects, a checkpoint save system, and support for 3D displays and HMDs. The game also includes the previous expansion Resurrection of Evil and a new single-player expansion pack called The Lost Mission. However, things like multiplayer and the inclusion of Ultimate Doom and Doom II have been removed.

I can't recall another video game that made me this physically uncomfortable and this psychologically troubled. As I played on my PC in a darkened room early Wednesday, "Doom 3" drove me into a sweat.

It's the execution that makes this game so damn good. The stellar visuals, amazing audio, and incredible attention to detail draw you into another world. Just take the beginning of the game as you arrive at a bustling Martian research facility.
