Overview

KAMIKO is a game styled around Japanese Shinto beliefs. Fight as priestesses called "KAMIKO" and battle against demons while solving puzzles to make your way through the stages. Look no further if you are looking for an arcade action game with a twist! Each stage has several Torii (gates) which are magically sealed. Find a way to break all the seals to make your way to the stage boss. Another fun and easy original created by indie games SKIPMORE.

Kamiko is short, but it’s only $5. It’s easy to pick up and play for a short time. The three characters offer up unique ways to play, the boss fights are fun, and the speed-runs add to the lasting appeal. Overall, Kamiko is great! Kamiko was reviewed using a digital copy for Nintendo Switch purchased by Nintendo Times.

KAMIKO is a well put together and simple, yet rewarding experience on Nintendo Switch. The controls are easy, the levels are great, and the playable characters are interesting in their own unique ways. The graphic design is pleasant and the same can be said for the sound track. KAMIKO is not a very long game, but you’re not paying a large entry price either, making it a pleasant experience all around. There are no detractors to mention, so just head on over to our KAMIKO listing and check it out as it regularly goes on sale. You won’t be disappointed.

I absolutely love the colorful art style that makes up the set pieces that themselves tell a story of a forgotten post-apocalyptic world, and the soundtrack is composed of retro-inspired chiptunes. While the game is quite short, what is here is worth playing for the cost of entry.
