Prepare to delve into a fascinating world where the forces of technology and magic are embroiled in a vicious struggle! Blurring the lines between the RPG and strategy genres, Megamagic recaptures the unmistakable flavour of the 80s in a game magnified by the incredible music by Mitch Murder.

In a way, Megamagic: Wizards of the Neon Age is like a Saturday morning cartoon. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but it’s charming and special nonetheless.

Megamagic is surprisingly deep and enjoyable after its noticeably slow start. The gameplay itself only improves as more diverse spells and playstyles become available, and the story is engaging enough to keep you invested in it through the roughly ten hours it'll take to complete. There are some spots where the maps and gameplay could have been tightened up a bit, and the story could have used a little more dialogue and exposition overall.
