Yes, I think Pirate Outlaws is a worth while experience. It has a good storyline, there are alot of activities to partake in, and it's entertaining with a replayability factor that's enhanced by the card building system. The game is in early access, but it's close enough to completion that with a tweak here and there Fabled Game is basically reading to release Pirate Outlaws fully. It certainly didn't leave me disappointed. 9.1 fun score Pros It's a pirate game and that's enough for me.

Roguelike, you say? Card battler? Deck-builder? In the vein of Slay the Spire? Well, why didn’t you say so? I adore Slay the Spire and adore roguelikes, so surely Pirates Outlaws (which I think is a weird name) will be a surefire hit. Load your pistol, grab a parrot, and let’s sail the high seas! AAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHH! I do apologize in advance, but I will not be able to review Pirates Outlaws (still a weird name) without constantly comparing it to Slay the Spire.

With its smart and generally quick play, plenty of heroes to unlock, and a bit of roguelike flair this deckbuilder has a lot going for it While I know there’s a whole segment of people out there who tend to bemoan even the mention of a deckbuilder, when they’re done the right way they can be quite compelling.

The price may be a bit high for a cartoonish card game, but Pirates Outlaws is fun and light-hearted. Better, it has good playability and re-playability with its numerous locations and different heroes to engage in epic battles.
