ScreamRide is thrilling, addictive, fun, enjoyable, well-crafted, rewarding, challenging, and has the potential to go on to be a long and successful franchise. It isn't just about holding on to your hat as you fly down a vertical drop, building the biggest coaster you can, or trying to hold on to your lunch as you hit an inversion at 120mph.

Overall the game is enjoyable, and it is certainly something that's a little different from most games out there. Even though you can't set the price of popcorn or hire janitors, give it a shot and you'll probably find yourself having some fun. Final Rating: 86%.

What I thought would be a first-person coaster simulator, and nothing more, turned into a complex and engaging little game, letting me express both my creative and my destructive sides in one fell swoop.

Forty bucks might seem kind of spendy for something like this, but each of its three modes could have easily been released as a $10 or $15 game on its own. The value is there. More importantly, so is the fun. Speed-based thrills, satisfying destruction, solving puzzles – it’s an unusual video game triple-threat that happens to tickle me in just the right way.
