Terror of Hemasaurus is a beautiful and entertaining game with tons of satisfying destruction and chaos. It also tries to teach a very important message about climate change and how the human race has to act before it is too late.

Terror of Hemasaurus is a brilliant effort from a one-man studio. It takes that familiar Rampage formula, gives it a fresh coat of pain and whacks a strong story on top. The result is something that is a joy to play. And with the inclusion of an endless mode, there’s a game here that you can come back to and play repeatedly.

Terror of Hemasaurus is a fantastic time, a wild homage to Rampage that tops its predecessor in nearly every way. It’s definitely meant to be played in multiplayer couch co-op. And maybe it’ll help you understand that if our planet can’t be destroyed by daikaiju, then maybe we just shouldn’t destroy it at all.

While there’s no mistaking the classic Rampage base experience, Hemasaurus adds enough extra oomph to be its own game This is actually a game that my emotions swung around a bit on, as I’m a massive fan of the original arcade classic Rampage but have played many variants over time that failed to improve upon what it did way back when.

Terror of Hemasaurus is pure giant monster carnage and immensely entertaining from start to finish.

Just like the game it homages, Terror of Hemasaurus is loads of fun that only gets better the more players you add. Unfortunately, it can also be just as repetitive over longer sessions. It’s a great bit of stress relief, and the story is interesting enough to be worth paying attention to. The sheer level of chaos when you really start going to town is certainly something to behold, and there are some aspects that make me giggle no matter how many times I see them. It’s a worthy successor that all fans of Rampage should check out. SwitchArcade Score: 4/5 Breakers Collection ($19.99) QUByte has put out a number of re-releases of older games, mostly drawn from Piko Interactive’s catalog.

At its core, Terror of Hemasaurus is a fun title. The scattershot nature of the story might not hit the funny bone for some people, and the lack of online play is a shame. The addition of physics to the core gameplay loop along with varied objectives ensures that the game isn't monotonous during its short playtime. If you still have a soft spot for wanton destruction by abnormally large animals, Terror of Hemasaurus is well worth seeking out, especially with friends in tow.

Whether you’re a fan of the classic Rampage and want to play something like it on modern consoles and PC, or simply love fun arcade games full of accessible, over-the-top action, Terror of Hemasaurus is well worth checking out. It may look like a blast from the past but its gameplay is timeless. And it offers a hell of a lot of chaotic fun for its humble price.
