A transcendent fusion of color, music and movement, We Are Doomed is as close as you will get to poetry in a twin-stick shooter. The more you play it, the less you will care how far you get; you will come back again and again just for the simple pleasure of playing it.

We Are Doomed is a great, easy-going experience that can easily be picked up and played at any time. It boasts some beautiful visuals, feels smooth and polished, and while it doesn’t offer too much in terms of innovation for the genre, what it is doing is great. There isn’t a lot of content to explore, but what is here is a lot of fun. C

Giving players only a tiny laser to kill bad guys with puts a unique and interesting spin on the typical top-down shooter model, and beautiful visuals offer a nice retro feel. For $9.99, it will make a nice addition to your PlayStation 4 game collection. Review copy was provided by the publisher.

The game might feel a bit on the short side, but the addition of online the online leaderboards will definitely keep you coming back for more. It was doing this We Are Doomed review, and I hope you can have some fun of your own with this game!

I really enjoyed the time I spent with We Are Doomed but I cannot overlook the price and length of the game. At a lower price point it would make a great Vita game, but on PS4 there a number of other titles that you could buy for the same amount of money and get many more hours of gameplay.
