EA Sports UFC 2
EA Sports UFC 2 is a mixed martial arts fighting video game developed by EA Canada, and published in March 2016 by Electronic Arts for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The sequel to 2014's EA Sports UFC, it is based on the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) brand. The game's cover art features Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor. Gameplay heavily resembles real UFC fights. The player can select from over 250 fighters and may customize various aspects of the fight, such as the rules. The fighter can perform an array of attacks, such as kicks, punches, grapples, submissions, and takedowns. The player can fight in a variety of game modes, including the career and ultimate team modes. The player can create customizable fighters and the game features both male and female fighters.

Anyone who enjoyed EA UFC should give this a shot because they’ve fine-tuned everything that made it great, while those who missed out should give the series a shot here. EA Sports UFC 2 is available for 10 hours of free play to all EA Access users – so if you have an Xbox One, that’s a great way to give the game a shot and take no risk at all.

It's a fantastic follow-up to the Freshman UFC title. If you were a fan of the first one, you will love it. The multitude of game modes and presentation all combine to give the game a very professional feel that helps legitimize the sport as a big time player.

As someone who has played almost every MMA game since UFC Undisputed 2009, many of the controls came naturally to me, but UFC 2 features quite the learning curve if you’ve never played a UFC game before. Whether it’s Ultimate Team, knockout physics or improved grappling, EA have made great strides to improve and make UFC 2 the best MMA game on the market so far.

Simple enough to pick up, but tricky to really master, UFC2 has a lot going for it and if you are a fan of the sport it’s certainly worth the purchase. The roster is right up to date and if you feel a bit quirky (and don’t mind a bit of DLC) you can add Mike Tyson and Bruce Lee to your roster. EA Sports UFC 2 verbessert sich deutlich gegenüber dem Vorgänger und bringt mit einem verbesserten Karriere Modus und dem neuen Knock Out Mode einiges an Umfang für Kampfsport Fans. Für die etwas komplexe Steuerung fehlt zwar immer noch ein gutes Tutorial und auch die Karriere an sich hätte etwas mehr Inhalt vertragen können, aber ansonsten überzeugt der Titel durchgehend mit einer großartigen Präsentation und einer umfangreicher Charakter Auswahl.

UFC 2 improves over its predecessor in the ways it needed to. The improved ground game and deeper career mode are the biggest draws, but Knockout mode is a blast to play with a friend, and Ultimate Team offers a unique twist on the popular mode from other sports games. If 2014’s EA Sports UFC was a promise being made, UFC 2 is its deliverance.
