Rick and Morty have teleported into your living room for a cutting-edge VR adventure from Adult Swim Games and Owlchemy Labs (Job Simulator). Play as a Morty clone as you explore Rick's garage, the Smith household, and alien worlds. Experience life as a clone of Morty and all the trauma that comes with it. Step through portals to strange worlds, help Rick with his bizarre experiments, and use your hands in VR to pick up and play in an interaction-filled 3D Rick-ality. Follow Rick's directions (or don't!) to solve puzzles and complete missions in this fully voice acted adventure.

If you’re in the niche group that is both a fan of Rick and Morty and owns an expensive VR headset, then you’ve got to pick up this game as it features of the best fanservice out there. That said, at $30 the price tag is a bit steep for a game that can be completed in a couple hours—but by this point, you’re probably used to the ‘VR tax’. Completionists will probably get a lot more time out of the game finding all the secret Easter eggs and references to the show that are available, as you can continue playing after finishing the story. Oh, and if you’re offended by swearing, this game is totally uncensored, unlike the TV show.

In the end, Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-Ality has a lot of fun for fans. The VR aspect really brings you into the world of the show and I really enjoyed my time playing the game. I just wish it was a bit longer for the price, but this is one of the few licensed games of a TV show or movie that captures a lot of the magic from the source material. While very short, fans of the show will love being able to move around and interact in the world of Rick and Morty. * The product in this article was sent to us by the developer/company. Despite the show only being on for 3 seasons, the universe is already pretty large with plenty of fan theories, it’s just a tiny (Rick) bit disappointing how short and limited this title is. As a die hard I would kill, Krombopulos Michael style, for a Rick and Morty RPG in line with the South Park series. For now, if you own a PSVR and consider yourself a part of the council of Ricks, this is a must buy.

For a VR experience, Rick & Morty Virtual Rick-ality is one of the best around. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to jump back in and take Roy off the grid. Rick & Morty Virtual Rick-ality was reviewed on PS4 using a PSVR headset and Move Controllers.

Virtual Rick-ality celebrates the existential comedy and breathless sociopathy of Rick and Morty. Like Job Simulator, it excels at creating natural space and filling it eccentric objectives and impulsive mischief. As a Rick and Morty product and a true second-generation VR title, Virtual Rick-ality is a comfortable calamity.
