The Game Band did a great job with Where Cards Fall as it is a perfect amount of puzzle, but without a lot of frustration attached. The main gameplay mechanic of moving and adjusting a stack (or several stacks) of cards is clever, and beautifully thought through, and well-executed. It is a puzzle game that I highly recommend.

If you skipped Where Cards Fall on Apple Arcade, it is a fine experience on Nintendo Switch. While the lack of touchscreen support is very disappointing, I like the controller scheme in place, and the rumble feedback is also appreciated. Where Cards Fall is a lovely puzzle game that could’ve been better without some of the slow cut-scenes. I get that they are part of the intended experience, but I feel like they’d have been better without any interaction as just movies in between the levels. -Mikhail Madnani SwitchArcade Score: 4/5 New Releases A Boy and His Blob ($14.99) SwitchArcade Highlight! WayForward’s lovely puzzle-platformer revival of David Crane’s classic adventure makes its way to the Switch thanks to the good folks at Ziggurat.

Where Cards Fall is full of surprises as it has the presentation of a simplistic puzzle game but offers so much more in terms of story beats, beautifully crafted environments, and unique puzzle mechanics. This labor of love has become a memorable gaming experience to me that doesn’t push metaphorical ideals onto the player to figure out during table discussions. Instead, we have an emotional adventure following a character’s life that you don’t have to relate to to feel connected to their journey. This post may contain Amazon affiliate links.

Where Cards Fall is a worthwhile puzzle game that genre enthusiasts should definitely add to their gaming library. With clever mechanics, a lovely and slightly abstract setting, and well-done learning curve; it's quite a swell experience.

Where Cards Fall is a creative and lovingly made romp through the memories of young adulthood. It approached puzzle-platforming in a brilliantly whimsical way with art and music to match. The controls were frustrating here and there, but overall, I enjoyed my time with it.
