Overall, Hard Reset Redux provides plenty of fast-paced old-school first-person shooter gameplay reminiscent of the original Quake games which makes Hard Reset Redux a highly recommended game for players who are fans of the old-school first-person shooter genre, while containing enough new content for players who are familiar with Hard Reset from its original PC release in 2011 to play and enjoy the Redux version as it possesses the same level of quality as Shadow Warrior that elevates it to a must purchase at any price. If you’re sick of all the military shooters vying for your attention but still want an honest, straightforward FPS experience, Hard Reset has the cure for your fever.

Other than a small pause when the game saves between sections, Hard Reset Redux runs great on PlayStation 4, and the bump in the graphics department to the original release can definitely be noticed. I definitely liked my time with the game for this Hard Reset Redux review, and I can completely recommend it to FPS fans looking for a new game on PlayStation 4 to try.

Honestly, Hard Reset Redux is an easy game to recommend for those wanting a little more of what made Doom such a success last month. Fast-paced shooting, combined with some great visual design and a few upgrades to keep your arsenal fresh. If you’ve not played Hard Reset before, Hard Redux is well worth the price of admission.

If you played Hard Reset before, there may not be quite enough here to make a return, but if you're otherwise down for a good FPS experience, this is a pretty solid choice.
