Mika And The Witch’s Mountain is Kiki’s Delivery Service as a video game. You get to deliver packages and fly around. It is fun but can be frustrating.

Whether you view it as an homage or a close relative to A Hat in Time, the game’s undeniable charm, from its whimsical characters to its enchanting world, creates a cozy, feel-good adventure that’s hard to resist. Despite its clear similarities, Mika and the Witch’s Mountain carves out enough originality to stand on its own and is undoubtedly a must-play for fans of magical tales and nostalgic platformers. Mika and the Witch’s Mountain really does do a good job of giving us a Kiki’s Delivery Service sort of game, and it’s often quite relaxing too! Mika’s a fun protagonist, and the island is this vibrant setting filled with big personalities and life. Sometimes the broomstick-riding can feel a bit fiddly, but it’s genuinely a delightful simulation about being a courier witch. Mika and the Witch’s Mountain will come to the Nintendo Switch and PC on August 21, 2024. Take to the skies on your magic broom and explore every nook and cranny as you deliver packages to the townspeople in Mika and the Witch’s Mountain! This coming-of-age tale follows aspiring witch, Mika, and her journey to the top of the mountain through a story of effort, friendship, and community.

Mika and the Witch’s Mountain is a cute and captivating game, though it could do with a little refining. Fly your days away delivering packages, boxes, and bags while fixing up your broom, and get back to your witch training. Sometimes, we all just want to fly away and train as something useful.
